What is the favorite thing of an insurance geek (other than an engrossing discussion of the Other Insurance condition in the ISO Commercial General Liability Insurance Coverage Form, I mean)? Cool toys! In my case, that's a bouncing baby Flip Video SlideHD Camcorder. This camera allows me to pack up to 16 GB of insurance geeky video goodness into a package the size of a deck of playing cards. If you call and get my voice mail, it's probably because I'm playing with the new camcorder and annoying my IIABNY colleagues.
The camcorder allows me to record quick rough videos and post them to this blog. That brings me to Ask Tim special episode #1, in which I talk about how a recent change in New York law affects insurers' ability to surcharge auto insurance premiums and how the New York Insurance Department is interpreting it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of this special episode. I have to do more of them so I can keep the camcorder.
